Since people have posted about their nightmares, I thought I would tell you
about this incident.

Hearing screams coming from our ferrets play room my SO went to check that
the "boys" were okay. He had to come and get me as one of the guys - Okisi
had a death grip on his brother's ear and would not let go. The funny thing
was that Okisi was sound asleep - it looked like he was grooming Tobie's ear
and then just decided to chomp on it.(or had a bad dream and Tobie's ear was
the nearest thing to bite) We couldn't wake him up, and poor Tobie was just
laying there unable to move. When we picked the two of them up Okisi was
still asleep and still would not let go. Since Okisi is a greedy guts we
thought that food would probably wake him up. When we waved the bottle of
Ferretone under his nose, he woke, opened his mouth (letting go of Tobie's
ear) and then gave us a filty look.(probably for waking him up). I know
that sometimes all five of the 'boys' can get a little rough but this was
the first time that I've ever seen a ferret do it while he was asleep.
Tobie is fine - he had a wet red ear but no trauma and the last time I
looked all five of them were curled up together and fast asleep. I least
now I know why Tobie always has clean ears :-)).
