Dear FML friends;
Today I buried both Bandit and Pandabear. I lost them both to what the Vet
thinks was ECE (the greenies). In spite of antibiotics and supportive care
Bandit died Mon AM and Pandabear Tues PM.

My friend Eric came with me to pick up Pandabear from the Vet's office and
then dug a hole under the cedar tree in the back yard. The cedar tree is a
stately old tree that I call the "grandmother tree"(She is the grandmother
for all the other trees in my yard).

We lit a candle, drank a toast, and I recited a wonderful piece that my
friend Janet had emailed to me. It is as follows (author unknown to us)

"There is a plan far greater than the one you know.
There is a landscape broader than the one you see.
There is a peaceful haven where souls may go...
        You call it death...we immortality.
You call it death...this seemingly endless sleep.
We call it birth...the soul at last set free.
"Tis hampered not by time or space.
        You weep.
Why weep at death? "Tis immortality."

In memory of Bandit and Pandabear
Forever loved.
Peace
Karen
