Fellow Fert Friends:
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, a newcomer to FML and
to ferretland. My hubby and I recently (ten days ago) adopted Meeko (think
Disney's Pocahontas) a 11wk old female sable for "our children". Our oldest
is 10 and has faithfully and lovingly cared for a mouse for 3 years, so we
thought it was time to give him the ferret friend he has been asking for. I
have never become so possessive over something so quickly in my life. This
cutie is MINE. I have had relatives that owned ferts in the past, and
thought them rather extreme (I was such a snob!). Meeko can do what she
will in our family room - it's hers. Our dogs, (toy poms) just move aside
and watch her antics.

I do have a questions, and it will probably seem very naive. Meeko appears
to be finicky. And I mean finicky to the point that nothing appeals to her
other than her feed. Ferratone, Pounce treats - nothing, except my cokes.
She practically fights me for my drink! Have I missed something? Will I
eventually find something she likes?

I have lurked the FML for a few days now and am still such a novice on your
abbreviations. Hopefully, I'll catch on soon as I'm a quick learner. Go
Noles!
