I'd like to know more about ear mites.  Not how to recognize your ferret has
them or how to treat the condition, but about their life cycle and so on.
Can anyone suggest any sources to read?

In our part of the world, that sort of practices which include descenting
aren't allowed, so I don't have any comparative data at all.  But I'd say
the problems you describe from not descenting are very, very rare.  Can
you refer us to a scientific study which shows the medical advantage of
descenting?
