Like the subject says, "I'm a lighthearted person, please don't throw flames.
 
June 12 or Feb.  15, either day is fine with me and I'm sure is fine with
everyone else, just as long as there is a ferret day (and oh yes there will
be :).  The whole idea behind ferret day is to educate people about ferrets
and what could happen if we don't do something together (non ferret owners
and ferret owners alike.) I quote myself about using Kodo's day "That way
people can also have a legacy (or something) to tell along with the day and
why ferret day is SO important."
 
So please, I didn't mean to make anyone mad or make Kodo "THE EXAMPLE" I was
simply using him because no other ferret has ever caused that many people to
come together so quickly and grab peoples attention.  He was/is "everybodys
ferret".  It makes people aware of what could happen to them if we all don't
pull together and Kodo is just another reason *why we ARE pulling together*.
His story sickened me and made me angry, there was nothing I could do for
him after the fact.  There is something I can do now.  I can go along with
"any" ferret day and make it the most *I* can in my area.  So please, I am
truly sorry if I have made anyone angry.  Feb.  15 is a great ferret day
like any other.  If it makes people mad that I mentioned another day just
forget me, no one will ever remeber a name like "Kathy Smith", my name may
as well be Jane Doe (close enough :).  I don't want to gain any recognition
(bad or good) for it but most of all I don't want to upset anyone.
