I am having problems introducing a new ferret to my other 3. He is about 6
months old, and is a rescue. Supposedly, he is vicious. Well, I got him
home and he seemed fine. Actually, he was better behaved then my others.
He lived alone for a while (in a separate cage) because he had ear-mites.
When Mischief got rid of them, I introduced him to the others. Coconut and
Chunkey smelled him, and went about their business. Cocoa Puff went crazy
and started attacking him. The thing I can't understand is she, is a 1.5
lb. female and he is a 3 lb. male, and he is terrified. She is the only
one of them that is not descented. The others were already descented when I
got them, otherwise I probably wouldn't have had it done. She never sprayed
(or whatever you call it) before until Mischief arrived. My question is
what can I do to make them get along? I am baffled. None of my others did
this when they where introduced.
Thanx,
Heather
