The narrow mindedness and ignorance of some people never ceases to amaze me.
From California's governor on down to animal control officers, there are too
many in California's state and local government officials that refuse to
accept the facts that ferrets are not muderous, baby-killing, rabies-ridden
vermin. Why would an estimated 1/2 a million Californians alone risk
prosecution to have an illegal pet if these animals were such a terror? Why
would people keep these animals and have their children play with the little
beasts if these animals can spontaneously get effected by the rabies virus?
(The impossible, but only way many of these completely house-bound animals
would get effected by the rabies virus unless their owner was effected and
bit the ferret.)

Confucius is attributed the following quote: "The superior man seeks what is
right; the inferior one, what is profitable." Perhaps since the anti-ferret
officials can't comprehend what is right, they can comprehend the idea of
profit - or lack there of.

Until California can see the light of reason in regards to ferrets, I will
not vacation in California, I will not take business trips to California,
nor will I buy California products where other products are available. Yes,
this can effect people who don't oppose or may even support ferret
legalization efforts and that is unfortunate. Many of the anti-ferret
officials setting policy, however, are elected. I am sure that the ferret
issue is not the only place many of these officials demonstrate their
ignorance and obstinance in the face of facts and reason and I would urge
Californians to vote for officials that will do what is right.

My condolences to Rocky's owners.

get 'em. I'll steal their socks!), atlas (Kibblefornia? Mmmmmm.....),
