I know I will probably get flamed for this but it has to be said:
 
While I deeply empathize over the Rocky incident the simple fact is he
should not have been there in the first place.
 
The law in California at this time says NO FERRETS.  If some officious twit
had chosen to make an issue of it all the ferrets at that march could have
legally been confiscated and put to death.  Period.
 
As a homosexual living in Texas I know what it is like to live under
oppressive laws.
 
I can tell you from experience that there are always consequences for "civil
disobedience".  Remember this.
 
Don't give up the struggle for change in CA.  But do it without endangering
the innocent.
 
I urge everyone else in the country to contact your local news shows and
find the reporter who does the happy stories and invite them to you local
club meeting to do a spot.  Generate good publicity to be used as a weapon
in the fight in CA.
 
But please people, Keep the babies hidden until they are legal..  We have
had enough tragedies lately.
