I bought two babies - my son named the albino Pearl and the sable Squirmy,
4 days ago from a pet shop. The pet shop said they were 5 weeks old. They
are from Marshall farms. So far, they are taking their dry ferret food and
chicken ferret canned food just fine. Great appetites, - both lively,
playful and sweet when they're not sleeping! But I am worried that the dry
food is not the best for such youngsters. I'm going to take them to the vet
and see what they think. After reading up on them, I think that 5 weeks old
is very young to be weaned. They are about 6-7 inches long, not including
tail. Based on size, do you think they are really 5 weeks? Thanks for any
advice.
