Clarification on fabrics

First off, hello everyone, and many thanks to BIG and everyone who helps
provide or maintain the various useful sources of ferret information and
advice. They have proven very helpful to me, my SO Andrea, and our new
babies, Gabriel (8.5-week old albino) and Lucy Furr (10-week sable).

Unfortunately, with so many sources of information, I sometimes get
conflicting tidbits. In this case, as to what fabrics are okay to give to
our kids. Some people say towels are good for bedding, while others have
said it can too easily cause intestinal blockages when chewed up. Some say
lamb's wool is okay, but when I see toys with this, the hair pulls out in my
hand, and I can only imagine how much would actually get ingested if it fell
into the wrong paws. Cotton t-shirts seem widely accepted. I hear fleece
makes for happy bedding, but is it safe? Should I avoid any or all
synthetic materials? Should materials like paper towels or tissues be kept
out of reach, or will they just make bedding out of them? Or is anything
okay as long as your fert doesn't treat it like food?

Thanks for the input.

Lucy, Gabriel, and their humans, Andrea and Corey
