Amy - quick like a bunny locate your nearest ferret shelter and find out
what's available to be adopted - age, sex, color, attitude etc.  When the
previous owners come have a good time with the visit.  Sprinkle references
to all the ferrets out there that need good homes.  How difficult it is for
animals to be bounced from one home to the other.  You see where I'm
heading.  If they want another ferret they'll feel bad about taking Sam back
but may consider giving a needy ferret a home!
