Well thats a rather nasty sounding topic.  We are far from perfect but we

We strongly object to your attacking us after misreading our post.  If you
read the post following your in the FML you might understand our point
better.  We have fully researched the whole defamation topic for reasons not
to be discussed at this time.  There is absolutely nothing we have said
slanderous (or libelous) about you.  We weren't actually discussing you in
that particular post.
 
We said:

We did not say "Sandi Ackerman asks nosy questions".  We object to questions
about our income from those who really have no business knowing but never
said that you did ask such questions.  We spoke to the issue not to a
specific incident as it was several steps removed from a direct comment on
any incident about you and Mr. Tilford.  Someone had implied that it was
fine to ask such questions and we responded to that.

We were responding to post from Alicia Drakiotes who does run FerretWise.
You (Sandy) do not do the begging on the list that she does.  Our comments
have nothing to do with you but were directed more or less at the person to
whom we responded.
 
We have posted that we are not able to decide the truth of the matter
between you and Mr. Tilford.  We still can not though you react with an
awful lot of anger for no real reason here.  Maybe you said somtething he
didn't like.  Maybe it was prying and maybe it wasn't.  He apparently
thought it was and you thought it wasn't.  Thats as close to the truth as we
expect to come.  At this point we have no grounds for calling either Sandy
Ackerman or mr Tilford a liar.  But they disagree to some extent on what
happened.  Way too much anger is getting expressed here.

Your insulting comments are misdirected and I feel not appropriate for this
forum.  That whole section where you refer (as you have in the past) to us
negatively merely becasue we are running both a shelter and a ferretry is
nothing but inflammatory rhetoric and wholly untrue.  We have discussed our
policies on adoptions before and don't wish to re-iterate them at this time.
 
We are sorry you felt attacked but we assure you we did not intend anything
we said as an attack on you.  We didn't actually intend any of our comments
as a direct discussion you of you or your business.
