I suppose that ~that~ statement can't be refuted, but..then again, so do all
other animals, including the human specie.
I had one fert that would bite on occasion...so he was looked after very
closely when in public. None of the remainder of my ferts, either now dead
or living, have ever bitten anyone, nor have they ever shown the slightest
indication they are thinking about biting, even in the roughest play. They
mouth me, but don't bite.
As kits, yes..ALL baby animals 'chew'. Your rescue ferts may have the
propensity to nip because of the environment, THAT I can understand. They
may have been frightened, mistreated, abused, or left to their own devices
(Before they came under your care) and never handled...any of which can lead
to a nippy animal.
I think this post does more to discredit ferrets than any Freedom march
negative press. It is a blanket statement that condemns all ferrets without
cause. If the opposition ever read that post, the content of the post would
give them fuel for their continued push to keep ferrets banned.
Ferret Rescue of the Western States...you should be happy that BIG does not
practice biased list editing, as your message is just plain bad for ferrets,
not to mention, not factual.
MC (Joe, the rude one)
Garret: What is he talking about Dad, I don't bite, and none of our friends
do!
Snorkle: Is it biting when I grab your nose in a BIG kiss?
