I met a woman at the pet expo in Cleveland this weekend who claimed she had
a ferret that lived about 14 years. The ferret was bought at an auction for
$10 (Amish in the area sometimes use them for rodent control). He lived
free roam in the house for 9 years, and then moved into the barn, where he
enjoyed playing with the goats she said.
