This is facinating how everyone's ferrets do much the same thing at the same
time.  This time last year, everyone was remarking on how THICK their ferret
coats were coming in.  This year, I noticed the "blue marks" on the belly
down by the rear legs.  It's just fur growing in (like some other people
have mentioned) but it's so odd that so many ferrets are doing this at the
same time!  I really don't remember any of my other ferrets *ever* getting
these fur-marks, but here I have one who does!  And it's definitely fur.  If
you get right down there and look closely (or get a magnifying glass) you'll
see it's just fur.
 
So don't worry.
