Sorry to blow your theory out of the water. :)  Easel, my 1.5 yr old
chocolate 3-legged jill, drinks her own urine.  Actually, she doesn't now,
and she didn't when we got her, but she did for a long time.  I actually
don't think she grew out of it - I think we mostly broke her of the habit by
1) littertraining her better, and 2) plucking her away from the spot and
setting her in front of a pan of water.  Her nutrition, etc, did not change
during this time - she just seemed to pick it up and then lose it again.
