Hi all,

has there been any discussion on allergies in ferrets? I took my fuzzbutt
to the vet yesterday because for a few days he has been coughing and
generally seeming "down". She said he seemed ok (his temperature was up, so
she put him on antibiotics figuring it was the tail end of a minor case of
influenza) However, she also said that one possible cause of his cough was
an allergy. I don't smoke, and their bedding consists of towels and old
clothes, so she suggested was not using fabric softener for a while in case
this was the cough-causer.

Has anyone else had any experiences with ferret allergies? I know someone
else just posted a similar question, so if anyone has any input, there are
two of us (plus fuzzies) eagerly awaiting your replies!
