Hi all, and happy holidays (and belated 10th anniversary of the FML, which
is also the same day as my bday! Hee).
I have a question about cataracts. This time last week, I remember looking
at Noodle's eyes quite carefully, and there was nothing. Dark, liquid,
clear, both iris and pupil. And then a DAY LATER, I looked at his eyes
again because they caught my attention - and he had a milkiness to his
lenses that had not been there the day before.
I know ferrets do fine blind, but one day Noodle's eyes were fine (and I
was really looking closely), and the next they were clouded. They've been
getting worse over the past week, and I was wondering how normal this is.
He's 2.5 yrs old, neutered, and from an unknown breeder. Is it common for
this to happen so rapidly?
