Tasha, you can find a very extensive guide re' ferret health care and
medical overview.  Look up Ferret Central (YAHOO) and click on Index to the
Ferret Medical FAQ.  Parts 4 & 5 have loads of good information, including
cardiomyopathy.  Ferret First Aid can also be found on this page.  I have
printed all this information so I have a hard copy of a ferret health care
manuel.
 
I appreciate the condolences re' Joey's death.  He was the sweetest little
thing.  He was given lots of love and TLC until the very end.  Just like
your Joey, he was my first ferret love and I miss him greatly.
