Please Please Please stop squeaking the carrot toy!  Ok, this is my
interpretation but I also have the orange squeaky toy and a white whale.
Squeaking the toys brings upon the same response in my ferrets - they get
totally freaked and start biting as in -MAKE IT STOP!  I think its fairly
obvious that they HATE the noise.  I don't know if it hurts their ears or
not but regardless they don't like it.  I only use the toy when I can't find
them anywhere.  It's what I use if they (once) get outside.  Its an
emergency thing only - constant squeaking for a ferret acting like this
would in my book be quite mean.
