Fellow fuzzy faithful,

Thanks for the all the notes of concern about 1 yr old Max.

Max is not well. His anemia seems a touch better (RBC was 21 last week and
is now 26). The problem is he is completely incontinent and is still
rag-like. It's been a month and the vets still don't know. Frustrating!

Our local vet *thinks* he has a tumor (let's see, she first thought he had
pneumonia, then lymphosarcoma, then...). Dr. Bruce Williams isn't sure
either, so Max is on prednisone 5 mg/1x daily and high dose amoxycillan.

We feel so bad for the little fuzzy, but his quality of ferret life stinks!
The local vet suggests putting him down :( He eats great (duck soup by
syringe), but he *never* stands up. When he does move (out of his urine,
etc), he pulls himself with his front paws and drags the back paws limply
behind him.

There must be pain back there from a mass or enlarged spleen, but he never
cries. His X-Ray *might* have showed something--local vet wasn't sure.

If anyone has any suggestions, PLEASE email now. Max's life depends on it.

Thanks for all your concern and help,

Joe
