I have a question I'd like to ask regarding ferrets with intact anal sacs.

A friend of mine has two ferrets that she bought from a breeder whole, she
alllowed them to come to maturity and had them neutered, but both still have
their anal glands.

She is a pet groomer like myself by trade, and when she bathes her ferrets
which is monthly, she expresses their anal glands like you would a dog. She
said that this helps to keep them from "letting loose" as often.

I'm courious if anyone else does this or if it is harmful to ferrets.
