One of my ferrets, Loki, spent alot of time sleeping and was very lethargic
compared to the others. He would have good days and not-so-good days. It
got to the point that he always seemed drowsy and stumbled around. He also
had a really poor appetite, and I was hand-feeding him just to keep weight
on him.
My vet did a blood test and found out he had low blood sugar. He's on 1.5ml
prednisone now, and dances around with lots of energy! He's a totally
different ferret. This treatment may not be the final step with him, but
the improvement so far is amazing. Does anyone else have more experience
with this?
