This is in response to a couple of postings I read on the FML.
 
Dinky has a two-level cage with a ferret tube with an elbow in it on the
second level.  She loves to play in it and hides things in it.  Sometimes
after playing she will fall asleep in the tube.  She usually sleeps on her
back.  When she sleeps in the tube, she is on her back with her head
sticking out one end.  Pretty soon her head is over the edge of the second
level with her nose pointing to the bottom of the cage.  Eventually she
falls out completely and lands in her bed, curls up and goes right back to
sleep.  It's hilarious.
 
By the way, the bottom of her cage is wire mesh and she does not mind it at
all.  I do have plastic placemats in there so it's not wiry all over.  But,
she will lay on her back and using her paws move across the bottom
scratching her back.  It looks like it feels sooooo gooooood.
 
One day she was behind one of my stereo speakers acting very excited.  I had
no idea what she was up to and all of a sudden a frog goes flying thru the
air.  She was playing with it!  I'm sure the frog was very upset and
confused but when it hopped it was just more than Dinky could stand.  I
don't know if she would have actually killed the little frog.  I put her in
her cage and the frog outside.  When I let Dinky out again, she went back
behind the stereo and looked all over for her froggy.
