Hi everyone

We are hopefully going to attempt to lobby the queensland government shortly
in regards to keeping ferrets legally in that state. This plan is certainly
just on the drawing boards at the moment but we need as much background
information and help as possible. We would really like to know some of the
following things:

1/ What are the exact legal standings regarding ferrets in Qld?
2/ How any group has gone about modifying laws in other states
   (particularly in the US)?
3/ Does anyone know any Ecological significance that ferrets may cause
in QLD? (We don't want to do the wrong thing...)
4/ Any support/help/ideas etc that anyone has (no matter how small)

Many national and international groups in Australia have been talking about
this issue and many rumours have passed around. If anyone can give us any
more info please let me know.

Thanks for your support
