Two of my ferrets that had adrenal problems wake up suddenly to scratch,
even after having their adrenal gland taken out and eating food rich in fat.
I assume their skin still itches.
 
By the way, I hardly ever bathe my ferrets.  Last year one ferret got a bath
because he walked in some chemical powder products in the hallway of our
building.
