Ferret Wise Shelter would like to applaud the efforts of the NHSPCA in
Stratham and the Monadnock Region Humane Society.  These well known and long
established humane shelters have opened their doors to the domestic ferret.
Both facilities have pledged to accept those ferrets within their
communities which need sheltering services and screen for adoption
placement.
 
The directors of Ferret Wise Shelter, ask that members of these communities,
applaud and show their appreciation to these NH shelters for assisting with
much needed sheltering services for ferrets.
 
More than 140,000 domestic ferrets are sold through retail pet store trade
in the continental US each year.  We urge you to support your ferret
shelters and ferret friendly humane shelters!
