My friend and I are starting to do research about ferret cases in CA. Does
anyone know of anyone who had their ferrets confiscated and was legally
charged? I need to know the exact wording of the charge. Also if there
were any judgements and/or appeals. I don't need any names just the charge
and judgement.

We are trying to figure out a loophole against the DFG. As far as we know,
mind we are just starting our research, there is no law in CA that states
that having a "domestic" ferret is illegal, just that having a "wild" ferret
is illegal. We need to find out what is considered a "wild" animal
according to the law. We need to make it difficult for the DFG to prove
domestic ferrets are indeed illegal. I figure that if we can get punished
for having our pets we should atleast have a plan for defense.
