Pooky was going for her annual shots and she got the new ferret distemper
shot and she had a bad reaction to it..

I didn't know there was a new Distemper shot. What's it made from, and is
the incidence of reaction. I'll forward all info to my vet.

BTW: I did finally get my inspection, so Kansas Ferret Association now has
an official ferret shelter in Lawrence. Last night I accepted 5 adoptables.
4 are female, and one male. They were rescued from a breeder closing her
doors in Michigan, and had not been socialized, so we've had them in rehab
for a couple of months. Now they are loving, wonderful fuzzy babies, ready
for good homes. All are about 1 year old. Call 785-843-0934 if interested.

Also, if you are in Kansas, we could use your help in contacting
veterinarians. We're looking for a good, strong support base before we
approach legislators to change the Kansas laws. Right now, bite or scratch
issues are dealt with by death in most cases.

We're busy here, but this list is an important resource, so please keep up
the good feedback and discussions. Thanks to this list, we were able to get
a distributor for Totally Ferret in Kansas, and now i'm happy to say that
Kansas Ferret Association has easy access to the best feed available!

Thanks again...
