As another poster has already pointed out, murder is a human concept. Your
ferret is doing what her ancesters were breed for - the hunting of small
animals. Unfortunately, your iguana was a victim of those instincts.
Perhaps it would be a wise idea to have an area of the house that is
off-limits to your ferret. This could be where your remaining small animals
could be kept. I would still keep these animals in a high or other location
that would be difficult for her to reach. Escapes into forbidden areas can
occasionally occur. This "safe-zone", however, should lessen the chances of
prey and predator contact.
Our ferrets are banned from the first floor of our place unless they are
supervised. My houseplants live there and would fall victim to the naural
instincts of my ferrets - dig, dig, dig, dig, dig......... ;)
