I am looking for a vet that knows something about ferrets in the
Peoria-Pekin, Illinois area for my 2 babies, Skippy and Neandrathal. A
while back, the left side of Neandrathal's face swelled up so we took him to
the vet. He was looked over and me and my husband were told that it was
probably just an infection in his ear but that it could also be cancer. The
vet just gave us some antibiotics and said we'll have to see from there.
Luckily it went away so it wasn't cancer. Skippy and Neandrathal were my
first friends I've ever had so I didn't realize at the time that I should've
taken him somewhere else. The answer we got from the vet really didn't
sound like an knowledgable answer to me. So I would like to find a vet in
my area who actually knows quite a bit about ferrets in case something comes
up again. I would also like more information about ferrets and huskies
interacting in the same household as I was planning on getting a female
husky puppy in the spring. Thanks for any help you can give.
