I'd just like to thank everybody for thier responses, it seems Rikki's
doctor is quite knowledgeable with ferrets and his prognosis upon first
visit is quite possibly a recurrence of the female reproductive tissue
though he's not ruling out other possible problems. He is Dr. McLean on
Victoria Park Ave. in Scarborough Ont. The problem is that Rikki was
adopted by us, we believed all along that she was fixed but he could not
find an incision scar, so we have to find out on the week-end if she is or
is not. She is acting like she's in heat according to him, a swab sample
was taken and there isn't any infection. I completely trust his judgement
and he is competent to perform the operation if she hasn't been spayed. He
also mentioned exploritory surgery and a specialist in Ajax, Ontario, but
under what curcumstances that would be necessary escapes me now as I was
mostly concerned with the spayed or not spayed delema and hoping that I can
still find the person we got her from. If I recall she exhibited being very
effectionate this time last year but I really can't be certain.I believe
she's getting on to be about 4 1/2 years in age. She has another
appointment next Wednesday, I am wondering should I push for an appointment
on Monday givin any information I find out on the weekend or if I in fact
find nothing out. She must be one tough old girl if she's been in heat from
what I have been reading. Kisses from Rikki and Belle and big thanks from
Dad. I am keeping my fingers crossed and in search of the information on
inducing ovulation or whatever it is that can sometimes be done.

Big Thanks to All
Rick and Mary
