Hi Jodi,

>HOWDY! I am new to this mailing list, but I have been reading up on it for
>a couple of days and am really excited to be a part of it.

We are also new to the mailing list, we live in Belgium/Europe and saw our
first ferrets on a animal show. We talked to the people of the Belgium
Ferret Liga and where invited to the annual ferret meeting later that year.
There must have been hunderds of those beautiful fuzzies that day.

We wanted a ferret but where a bit concerned what our siamese cats and the
dobermann would do to here. However the cats love ferrets although they get
nipped ones in a while. Our little girl bit really hard but after about a
week of training she became very gentle.

I saw something about ferret math in the faq ;-) So after a week we got a
second female, a sandycolor with the most gentle caracter. Pooky loved her
new friend Angel, she sniffed at her and raced maybe ten times around the
kitchen in delight. They never fight for real and have a lot of fun
together.Yesterday they went along for a walk in the forest on there leashes
and had a great time (so did we!).

>In my apartment I let her constantly have the run of my room and
>occasionally let her out into the living room to play.

I think that this is the answer to your question, she gets to play
whenever she wants so when you arrive home she already is deadtired.
