Okay, does anybody's ferrets urinate in their water bowl.  I have two ferts
Ricky & Smokey.  I've notice every now and then that there is urine in one
of their water bowls.  I always have two bowls of fresh water in the cage.
I never thought to take a whiff of it before since I use Vitasol (vitamins
which turn the water yellow).  I knew I didn't put Vitasol in and yikes it
sure smelled powerful.  I don't know who's doing it or if its both of them.
The other thing is, it only happens to one bowl.  They won't urinate in both
at the same time.  The cages are kept clean, they always have fresh water.
So then today when I was dumping out yesterdays food I noticed poop!
 
Now I'm worried because I read just about Coccidia.
 
I don't know what to do, any suggestions, ideas, comments would help.
 
I would also like to put out a special thanks to fosterfert.  My
air-conditioning went out a few weeks back and it was getting hot.  I kept
watering down my little guys to help keep them cool.  Fosterfert told me to
put a 16 ounce plastic water bottle in the freezer and when it was ready, to
cover it with a sock(make sure its tied up in a knot) and put it in the
cage.  Well I had those little non-toxic freezer things(used for little
coolers) already in the freezer.  It worked out great.  Sure enough, my
little guys thought it was a toy.  They were trying to drag it up the ramp.
They ever tried to team up together.  After all effort they gave up and fell
asleep laying right next to it.  They stayed cool and the air-conditioner
was fixed by the next day.  I just had to share this with everybody in case
you're ever in the same scenario.
