Hi everyone, I have a story to share about a pet store. Last week I had
about 5 calls from people telling me of a sick ferret , being neglected in a
pet shop in Toms River, N.J. After several people trying to reason with the
owner to get the ferret medical attention, with no results, I decided to
make several phone calls to the store to let him know how much trouble he
would be in if he did not remedy the situation. Well it only took one phone
call. When I told him he one day to take the ferret to the vet or I would
file a complaint against him, he told me to come in and take him.

When I got there, he was on the floor, in a cage with cedar chips, with
boxes of garbage all around him. He was selling him for 99.00, saying he
was four months old and a female. The ferret was at least three years old,
maybe four, and a male. The health problems were from the cedar chips.

When I went to take him out of the cage, he was the sweetest ferret I ever
saw. Having six animals of my own, I found him a loving home, with one
other ferret, where he can live out the rest of his life being loved and
cared for.

The Pet Store is Toms River Pet Supply and they will never get another
ferret, I can promise you that. By the way , someone gave him this ferret,
he did not purchase it
