It's Chere again - I have receive phone calls for many of you with
offers of assistance - you just don't know how much it is appreciated.
As of 1:00AM this morning (8/29/92) we had two Humane Societies going
into Angela
area. We did hear some not so good news last night. Angela lived
near the Cutler Ridge Mall which you are all seeing pictures of on
National News. We hear everything in that area is wiped out.
The Humane Societies are cooperating with us and have agreed to bring
out any and all ferrets they find. We have vets on standby, and
members ready for transportation. We have been warned that it is
extremely violent in Angela's area at this time - don't want any
of you to worry - we will be O.K. when we go down (I am an X - police
officer) we will have security and are coordinating with the
powers that be in the South Dade Area. Collections are going very
well. All FFIRC members are on alert and ready to move the momment
Angela and her family and ferrets are found. You will have to excuse
if I seem to ramble - have been up most of the time for the last 5
days. We will be flyinging into the area tomorrow - will send you
a report on what we find. Thanks to all of you on the Mailing List
for your support. Signed Chere McCoy, President, Ferret Friends
of Indian River County.
