I did not keep the address, but someone here is collecting "duck soup"
recipes. When both Ruffle and Meltdown had heart disease (precardiomyopathy
and then cardiomyopathy with Ruffie, and cardiomyopathy with ventricular
bigemini with Meltie) and they weren't yet staple Tom Willard helped us with
a formula specifically for ferret hearts. Basically it is this: any boiled
meat or meats, egg yolks, Nusalt (NOT regular salt and NOT "light" salt),
vitamin E, Brewers Yeast, Nutrical, water. This is specific for heart
disease.

OH, since we've all been expecting someone else to mention it -- adrenal
diseases in ferrets (There are multiple types with multiple outcomes though
most work out just fine with surgery.) are NOT Cushings; they involve
hyperestrognism instead.

Does anyone have a new address for Jeff Johnston? We were in the middle of
a discussion when his server in N.C. began not recognizing his address when
I about to take him up on his offer of a chance to learn a bit of something
somewhat new. I try it every few days, but still no luck as of last time.
