My Opinion.

We need a PAC (political action committee) rather than another ferret
organization. Defined as a PAC, each existing ferret organization could and
should support the PAC to deal with changing the law in each state to make
ferrets legal, and to establish quarantine periods for bite incidents.
Professional legal guru's would be hired to lobby for ferret-friendly
legislation. Car makers, the tobacco industry, and AARP all do this.

In order to set the agenda for the PAC, and to ensure accountability, a
board comprised of elected representatives from each ferret organization
could meet on an annual or semi-annual basis. (Very similiar to a
shareholders meeting).

Perhaps we could talk to Marshall Farms, Performance Foods, and the Drug
Company that makes Imrab-3, to give discounts to PAC members the same way
AARP gets discounts for its members. And who knows, these companies may
want to contribute to the PAC as well, since it would affect their business
as well.

You get the idea.
