It's one of those seasonal times when ferrets often have their tail acne
worsen and ear mites are happy to find indoor hosts, folks. The result,
combined with normal shedding itchies is that many ferrets lose fur on their
tails, sometimes to the point of baldness. If baldness or very thin fur
exists elsewhere then think adrenal, but if ONLY the tail is involved even
though it could still be adrenal it's more likely to be the others. Get to
the vet and treat the cause.
