I opened my emailbox today to discover 87 messages, about half regarding
Razz and the other half regarding biting ferrets. It's easy to count the
messages when you don't accidentally delete them. (OK, I *was* a moron, but
I've recovered).
Since all the people emailing me about Razz are also on the FML, I'll just
say thanks here. I've been preparing myself for Foster's and Sandy's death,
and Razz caught me offguard. Her downhill slide was *so* rapid and *so*
unexpected, I felt a little guilty thinking if I had been more observant, I
might have been able to help her. It was unlikely anything could have been
done, but its normal to have those feelings.
This morning, a good friend of mine did a necropsy on Razz and discovered a
ruptered artery at the base of her brain. The increased cranial pressure
was probably behind the intraoccular bleeding, and the seepage from the ear.
She must have had one hell of a headache. Small amounts of old blood was
present, suggesting the anurism had been leaking for some time prior to the
blow-out. Poor sweet little girl.
Thanks again for all the letters.
