Hi everyone, Critterpen Rescue here,

First of all to Starferet, I am filling in the form and yes we would like to
become part of your organization. I am a bit slow as we are so busy around
here.

Second, our Petsmart ran out of Nature Fresh, also. We tried the very, very
expensive litter on the Ferret Shelves, called "Shepherd and Greens Cozy
Corner, and everybody liked it, but running a shelter, the price for us is
prohibitive. We will call the number provided by the person who did all the
Petsmart Research. Thanks so much for doing that for all of us out here.

Third, everyone, do not use a product called "Swheat" made out of wheat for
any of your animals, ferrets, cats or other samll ones.. It turns into a
gluey mess as soon as it is used and is NOT scoopable.

Today was Spring bathday and we have 10 clean ferrets, all napping right
now, dreaming of ways to get rid of the clean smell.

Jumpin' Jack Flash tried to get under the bathroom cabinet, cuz he was sure
he could turn back into a ferret there.

Lord Braghi, Dooky for short, took his like a gentleman, but being white,
I imagine he may have had a few baths in his other home.

Freddie Poo took his shower with me, as usual.

Peaanut Willow, our DD ferret only had a bath because someone had dirtied on
her back.

Princess Kayli is still not feeling well, and hasn't since the ECE. She
won't take her ferrettone at all, even. She will see the Doc next week and
see if we can pinpoint what is happening with her.

Rugrat, Lakota, Sydney and Sutter are all doing very well, as is my little
sweetheart, Tiquer. Tiquer loves the attention of the bath, all the hands
on stuff. She is the one who spent the first 4 years of her life in an area
too small to even walk in.

Now, names are special, to ferrets and all other beings. Freddie Poo got
his name, because at the time the shelter asked us to pick him up, I was
researching the band, Queen and had read a wonderful anecdote about Freddie
Mercury, the lead singer. They were setting up somewhere for a concert and
Freddie had a spat with the rest of the gang and stomped off and hid. It
got closer and closer to showtime and no Fred. So Brian, the guitarist,
picked up the microphone, turned it up as loud as it would go and shouted
across the stadium or whaterever venue they were at, "Freedie Pooh, where
are you?". A disgruntled and embarassed singer reported back to the stage.
Now, the name just seemed to fit this new little guy, so thin and with a
coat like a brillo pad, but with calm courage, ready to face up to whatever
came next. Nowadays, with Freddie weighing in at 5 lbs. +, the name is a
litte ridiculous, but it is his name. And he comes running everytime we
yell, "Freddie Poo, where are you?".

Jumpin Jack Flash got HIS name because he is the world champion war dancer.
He rare walks or runs. He war dances to where he wants to go. Peanut
Willow was named as a compromise. I wanted to name her Willow, after the
little person in the movie of the same name, but my daughter wanter to name
her Peanut, because she looked like one.
