My Bear just had the same thing happen to him. Because of the adrenal
problem, his prostate was enlarged and the adrenal tumor was pressing on his
bladder, so he was completely blocked up. He had surgery on Tuesday to
remove all of his left adrenal and almost all of the right. They also
removed his entire spleen, as it was very large. Before surgery, we had
thought Lymphosarcoma (because of the large spleen) and possible adrenal,
but from the exploratory surgery, it looks like it may have just been the
adrenal problem. He is still recovering, but feels much better.

Bear was on prednisone for about 2 months before the surgery (thought he had
lympho) and the vet told me to continue giving that to him for now since we
removed almost all of Bear's adrenal glands (he needs some steroids in his
body), but that we would try and wean him off it once he recovers from
surgery. Do you have Cujo on anything?

Good luck!

Mary ;-)
