Well Folks, here's my $2.00 worth once more and I detest repitition.  Heed
what Bob C. writes.  The man is not only Bacula mad, he KNOWS what he's
talking about!  My point and it's a repeat.  I now spend over $100.00 a year
for memberships in some of the top orgs., clubs and will continue to do so.
I still say there is wasted paper and words, because most is repititious.  I
would still gladly pay a high price for a working org for the benefit of my
babies.  I am not rich, if I had children under the age of 18, I would have
to be suplemented with foodstamps to feed them for the FACT that even though
my husband serves his country, he is under paid.  Most ppl in the same MOS
as he in the civilian world, starts out at $40,000 above what he makes now.
I get a pittance of a check from FEDERAL workers comp over a injury they
clearly say I had prior to working for them, despite X-rays taken by DOD 6
months prior to accident.  Go figure.  They don't even believe thier own
crap!  OOOOPS!  Anyway to have political clout you can't think SMALL, the
NRA, Audubon Society, Sierra Club, etc., DON'T !
 
Let's see, $10.00 a month = $.30 a day, hum what do you suppose you could
sacrifice for your fert for that ?  Sodas, gum, bottle water, Big Mac,
cigarettes - I could go on, but what is the sense of it.  Each of these
Orgs.  have there yearly dues and monthly donation requests.  I'm willing to
meet both for the benefit of my ferts.
 
I started a Ferret Anonymous Meeting under all of the most dangerous of
places - CaCaLand in an isolated DESERT.  If I can do that anyone one can.
In the most adverse conditions including vets who refuse to treat ferrets,
they however allowed me to leave brochures and posts for the hidden fert
owner.  I went to all vets, pet shop, and feed stores.  I kept contact
(bodily) with each at least once a week.  That went on for several months
until slowly one by one ppl started calling me.  I would meet them at there
choice of location, armed with every bit of ferret related material I've
ever gotten my hands on (believe me I have quite an archive of my own).
Settled many fears that way.  If you know true fert ppl you can perceive the
difference between a fake.  At least I can.  Call it gut or that womans'
second site.  I also have very religous folks at our meetings.  There is no
mention of religion at a fert meeting, because it is a FERT MEETING.  We
respect each other by leaving the rest of the crap at the doormat.  OOOOPS !
