This is about the conversations with Karen Burns. If as she said, she will
save Kodo's life if he posses no threat to the elderly gentleman "bitee"
Kodo should be free now! The elderly man would be very sick or dead by now
if Kodo had rabies virus in his saliva at the time of the mishap. Although
I realize that the lack of disease in the elderly gentleman or Kodo is not
absolutely conclusive evidence that Kodo isn't harboring rabies in a dormant
state, the present evidence proves that Kodo is less likely to have rabies
than any other animal in the state. Really, if this is only about health
issues, ie "test immediately in order to provide time to treat human victim"
then there is no issue left in Kodo's case. A favorable ruling, a logical
ruling, that Kodo presents no more health risk to a human than any other
animal, would not solve any future bite problem for ferrets and set no
public policy since it is an extrodinary situation, but Kodo would be alive.

If Karen Burns has the ability to put an end to this solely on health
related grounds, she has every reason to do so.
