**The advice dispensed by myself in reference to FML postings is not meant
to supplant the advice of veterinarians who are in charge of the patient.
If the patient is not currently under the care of a veterinarian, the client
is recommended to take their ferret to one.**

Could be either one.  Since adrenal disease is not an acutely life
threatening disease, just monitor it.  If the fur regrows, it is probably
rub off.  If other bald spots appear, consider adrenal disease possible.

As far as I know leashes are okay but Dick Bossart would know better.
