Hello:

About the ferret in heat...

No, you can't get your ferret spayed while she's in heat, but don't breed
her, either. It will cost you a fortune, and we don't need more homeless
ferrets, anyway. Not to mention, ferrets giving birth is not the same as a
cat, meaning, a cat seems to be able to squirt kittens out with little
trouble. Ferrets have been known for their difficulty in giving birth, and
they can (1) die in birthing, (2) give birth but then eat the babies for no
reason, (3) not be able to give birth while in labor, meaning YOU'D have to
do it...I'll let you picture that scenario. If your ferret does give birth
with no trouble, you'd have to shell out the money for the spaying and
neutering of not only your girl but all of the babies, because I know you're
a responsible ferret owner and you'd never sell them whole, right?

So, you now have 2 options. Either find a breeder in your area who would
have a "dud stud" to mate with your ferret, effectively bringing her out of
heat without impregnating her, then get her spayed ASAP, or you can have
your vet bring her out of heat with shots (but I'm not a breeder and I have
NO idea how this is done, I've just heard that this can be done.) So, that's
what you're left with! Good luck to you and your little one.
