I am a little uncomfortable with that blanket statement as ferrets HAVE and
DO live wild in our country....the Black-Footed Ferret.
 
Granted, **WE** know the difference between the BFF and our fuzzies, but,
there are many who don't and they could perceive such a sweeping statement
as a purposeful distortion of fact.
 
(Of course, I haven't seen the letter mentioned above and it could very well
refer only to m. furo.)
 
I hope my point is well taken....
