This is a message I received from a friend about the daughter of a child we
were all concerned about.
>The tumor that was on her neck was benign and it was caused from a cat
>scratch that she got on her hand about 6 weeks ago. The doc said it was
>cat scratch disease that she had and it tends to settle in the lymph
>glands. She's at home and taking Tylenol with codeine! hehe
We were worried about cancer. What a relief! But would the same remark
been made had it been done by a ferret? Would there have been a little hehe
behind it? What kind of disease would a cat pass that would cause this?
Can ferrets get the same disease.
I'm sorry, this just really bugs me. A cat did this and it's all taken with
a grain of salt. If a ferret had done this, the law would have been brought
in, the ferret confiscated, and in some places killed and tested.
Maybe I'm just over reacting. But I guess that's just the way it goes.
