I never thought I'd buy something for the ferrets at Borders Books and Music!
When I was there recently, I saw a box labeled "Mouse Paint Mice." Inside
the box were four little stuffed animals: a red mouse, a white mouse, a blue
mouse, and a yellow mouse. Each one was about 4 inches long. I checked to
see how they were made, and fortunately there were no plastic parts. The
label said the mice were supposed to accompany a children's story, but they
looked like ideal ferret toys to me. So I bought them and put them in the
ferret cage. Buttercup has claimed all of them. She carries them one by
one into her favorite hidey-hole and sleeps with them. Maybe she thinks
they're baby ferrets.
