We are thinking of adopting a Rottweiller from a rescue. This rescue
screens the potential adoptee very thoroughly and the dogs are also
evaluated very carefully to make sure that they match the right dog to the
right family.

I have been told by a number of people that we may have problems with the
dog going after our pet ferrets, because they have a high prey drive. I
don't really buy that, as I have read on the list that people adopt all
kinds of adult dogs without problems. I think that it all depends on the
temperament of the dog.

If anyone has had any experience with these two co-existing please e-mail me
privately.

Thanks in Advance
